Sustainable Detailing Range Joins NatWest’s 12 Days of Christmas

Exeter based car detailing products business Moonshine is behind the latest day of an online advent calendar celebrating Britain’s independent retailers in the run-up to Christmas.

The social media countdown has been launched by NatWest as part of its ongoing support for small businesses, encouraging people to shop locally this Christmas.

From gift shops and beauty products to bakeries and chocolatiers, the Christmas countdown will profile a different retailer from across England and Wales each day.

Today’s (Dec 15th) festive treat is aimed at car lovers, with Devon-based Moonshine, the world’s first range of sustainable car detailing products.

Owners Josh Roles and Dan Regan said:

“After working on developing our products in 2019, we actually incorporated Moonshine in March 2020, not put off by the global pandemic, and successfully launched our products in July. Some have called us crazy, and COVID has certainly presented us with some challenge, but it’s also presented plenty of opportunities.”

They added:

“Supporting local businesses is always important. But this year, it’s been a genuine life-saver for so many independent businesses to get support from their local communities, other local businesses, and from our essential services like accountants and banks. We’ve deliberately worked with independent and local businesses wherever we can. It’s a good feeling to know that when someone buys from us, they’re not only supporting our business, but in turn we’re supporting others. We’re actually actively building our network of UK stockists at the moment and looking to work solely with small, independent automotive themed businesses.”

The business has been supported by NatWest Business Growth Enabler James Court.

He said:

“Our 12 Days of Christmas event, which is running for the second year, is about celebrating the amazing work of the independent retailers who work tirelessly throughout the year and bring so much creativity and diversity to our economy. That is why we’re really proud to support these businesses and just as importantly, the people behind them.”
