What is Baby Bank Exeter?

The Baby Bank Network is a not for profit organisation run by volunteers that redistribute pre-loved and new baby items to families that cannot afford to buy them, our aim is the prevention or relief of poverty in Exeter. Working closely with children’s centres, health visitors and other organisations across the city that are in contact with vulnerable families.

How will the Baby Bank Exeter work?

  • We operate via a referral system.
  • We are supported by Baby Bank Bristol who have been running for a number of year’s, currently helping approximately 50 families a month through their referral system.
  • We accept good quality second-hand donations at our store below The Harvester Restaurant at arranged drop off times.
  • We accept clothes (ironed if poss) for 0-18mth olds, high chairs, buggies/prams, bouncy chairs, Moses baskets, cots/cribs, bedding & sleep bags, stair gates, baby baths, towels, tommy tippee bottles, sterilisers, books, small pram/soft toys, new toiletries like wipes, toothbrush/paste, sanitary/breast pads, shampoo/body wash for baby/mum, cotton wool, nappies (can be part used packs), flannels/sponges.
  • We are seeking volunteers to help with fundraising, Ironing, sorting and packing of donations.

We really need businesses to sponsor our project to ensure it gets off the ground and keeps going! We will require fund’s and donations to cover ongoing purchasing of products that we need to buy regularly like nappies, wipes, cot mattresses, toiletries, bottle teats and admin costs. Could your workplace help?? In return we will shout about their support!

Let’s work together for the families of Exeter!
