Increasing Productivity for PA’s and EA’s

It was amazing to see many PA/EAs based in Exeter at our recent Bristol Conference featuring a variety of speakers including Paul Pennant, MS Certified Expert from Today’s PA. Today’s PA specialises in helping PAs to increase their productivity, stay organised and save time with a more effective use of technology.

Paul was surprised at the audience reaction to his intro level productivity hacks and he found that the audience level of Microsoft knowledge was much lower than he anticipated. Delegate comments included: “the Microsoft hacks and tips were so invaluable”, and that he was “inspiring and challenging”.

When I met with office pro recruiting managers recently, they said that they were experiencing skills gaps around hard/technical skills (ie outlook/word/excel and minute taking) and also around leadership. They suggested that this might be because PAs no longer attend secretarial college/secretarial courses – but instead complete Business Admin NVQs – which don’t provide the same hard/technical skills training. Furthermore, there seems to be a lack of in workplace CPD to develop these skills.

We were asked for more Paul Pennant in Exeter and so – by popular demand – we have arranged an Outlook Masterclass in Exeter in February. The one-day Outlook Masterclass is designed to engage and entertain, as well as inform. Over the years applications like Microsoft Outlook have grown in sophistication and refinement; learning to exploit its capabilities will help make the most of your time and simplify and automate other office tasks that until now have been tediously manual or just impossible. In Paul’s experience, Outlook Masterclass course delegates save an hour every day using our Outlook tips. That’s five or more hours a week – half a day given back to your business!
