Are you Ready For Brexit?

Brexit is quickly approaching, bringing change for businesses of all sizes and in every sector. Being prepared is essential. Brexit Ready Exeter is delivering practical advice and non-political guidance in a series of free roadshow events visiting Crediton, Honiton, Tiverton, Exmouth and Cullompton to help businesses understand and adjust for the future.

Mark Pellow, Exeter Chamber of Commerce chair, says,

“We have become increasingly conscious that our member businesses in the greater Exeter area were unaware and uncertain of how they need to adapt for Brexit. The board members felt strongly that businesses should not face these changes alone and unsupported and so we have brought together experts to deliver training in five towns, providing a gateway for better Brexit awareness.”

Practical Preparation without Politics

It is vital that businesses are prepared for Brexit. Planning and preparation, expert advice and discussion with other businesses are crucial to making the journey through these changes easier. 

The five events on preparing your business for Brexit will also focus on a no deal scenario. The sessions are open and free to business of all sectors and sizes, including retail, science and tech and trade estates. 

Each session will be led by Chris Lorimer, South West Growth Service who is an experienced management and organisational consultant with 25 years’ experience across the public and private sector and a registered coach with Growth Accelerator alongside export coach and mentor Linda Middleton-Jones, managing director of International Trade Matters Ltd. Linda has 25 years’ experience in international commerce and represents the economic interests of South West Companies globally.

The events are organised by Brexit Ready Exeter, a collaboration between Exeter Chamber of Commerce and InExeter and funded by Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy.
