JOIN THE PAR-TEA THIS NATIONAL TEA DAY!

- National Tea Day planning to raise the spirits of the nation with Britain’s biggest ever virtual tea party on Tuesday 21st April
Is there anything better than a cup of tea? The organisers of National Tea Day think not, and to mark the day’s 5th anniversary (and the Queen’s birthday, of course!), they will be hopping on to Facebook and Instagram as they aim to host Britain’s biggest ever virtual tea party.
With a whole host of activities and masterclasses, the virtual party really does have something for everyone! From 7am until 7pm, there will be non-stop action, including; morning Vitali-Tea Yoga, a Yorkshire Tea Loaf Baking Masterclass, TasTea Juicing, a Tea Break Quiz, A Little Persons Cup Cake Bake Off, Bettys Café Tea Rooms Interactive Competition Launch, Biscuit Baking, BeauTea tips with guest bloggers, Alcohol Free Cocktails and much, much more. Take a look at the full schedule and get ready to join the par-tea!
7 out of 10 people know someone who is lonely, and in the build up to National Tea Day, the organisers have been doing everything in their power to ensure that as many people as possible will be able to join the par-tea and specifically, those alone in isolation. With this in mind, National Tea Day created a pledge scheme to ensure that no one is left out.

Donations will fund par-tea packs for the lonely, vulnerable and heroic, by provisioning Barchester and Audley care homes and Nuffield Health hospitals, which have been made available to support NHS trusts in this difficult time, with more than 15,000 par-tea packs, including tea, cakes, biscuits, bunting and balloons.
Every £10 donation will not only ensure par-tea packs get to those who need them most but also provide £4 to UK’s leading mental health charity and National Tea Day partner, Mind, to support those dealing with isolation and combatting loneliness.
Diaz Ayub, from National Tea Day 2020, commented:
“We really believe that a cup of tea has the ability to bring comfort and togetherness to so many people, and that is our aim through our virtual tea par-tea.
“This year has seen us have to move to a virtual platform, but nothing was going to stop us from coming together in solidarity and celebrating an important day for us. We have loads of fantastic guests and really interesting masterclasses, which we have set up so that everyone, no matter your age, can get involved. Whether you want to bake some cupcakes with your children, or have a go at the quiz, we would love to have you join the par-tea!
“We’d also like to thank Cross Country Trains, Yogi Teas, Dilmah, Bettys, Elizabeth Shaw Chocolates and Equinox Kombucha and all other partners who have supported us in making this event as amazing as it’s going to be.”
