Celebrate The UK’s First National Peanut Butter Day With NEW Butter Bike Co.
Thursday 24th January is National Peanut Butter Day! Once only a tradition of nut butter fans across the pond, the national day is starting to reach Brits as love for the spread takes over*. It’s the perfect day to taste the most delicious recent arrival on the peanut butter scene from the new Butter Bike Co. range.
For purists who like Just Nuts try Butter Bike’s ‘Rugged Peanut Butter’ (£4, 285g) and ‘Almost Smooth Peanut Butter’ (£4, 290g). Or for those who like a peanut butter with a twist, try one of the Nuts and Stuff range which includes ‘Smoked Chilli Peanut Butter’ (£4.50, 285g), ‘Cinnamon Raisin Peanut Butter’ (£4.50, 290g) or ‘Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter’ (£4.50, 290g). For the devoted peanut butter fan, or for those feeding a crowd, these are all available in 1kg pots (£11.50).
Butter Bike Co. is a one-woman band; roasting, grinding and jarring peanuts by hand. The start-up has been established by Jeni Reeve, founder and pedlar of natural peanut butters. Jeni is based in Exeter, Devon. All the peanut butters are made using fairly traded nuts and locally sourced flavours including Cornish sea salt, Devon grown chillies and Sussex produced organic chocolate.
In its first year, Butter Bike Co. has already scooped a Taste of the West and Food Drink Devon award for its peanut butter, with sights set on Great Taste success in 2019.
