Summer in Exeter? Send a staycation postcard!

A creative agency has designed a set of free, staycation postcards to post on your social media. Let family and friends know what a jolly holiday you’re having this year – at home.

But it looks like summer holidays are cancelled this year. Health Secretary Matt Hancock told ITV’s This Morning that it’s unlikely that international holidays are going to be possible.

So, 2020 is officially the year of the staycation. Realising that cancelled holidays would leave a sad gap in people’s social media profiles, AB The Creative Agency has designed a set of digital postcards to share instead. The range of retro designs, available at ab-uk.com/staycation are perfect to post online in place of your vacation snaps.

Ed Burnand, partner at AB, said: “Sending a postcard and sharing photos is part of the holiday experience for so many people. We wanted to offer a bright, fun alternative to share from home this summer instead.

“Our retro postcard designs have a bit of fun with the idea of swapping a week on the beach with a week in your living room. After all, who needs the Costa del Sol when you can work on your quarantan and chill out on your very own Costa del Sofa? We added the line ‘Wish you were here’ to help people connect with their friends and family.”

The designs, which are inspired by 1950s postcards, celebrate the nation’s lockdown hobbies of baking and boxsets, and poke fun at the people juggling working from home with trying to achieve the perfect ‘quarantan’.
