Biggest professional achievement to date?
Setting up the Exeter PA Network and being invited to speak at an international conference for EAs and PAs about why Assistants need to step up and be more strategic. The conference took place in Munich and was attended by amazing Assistants from over 20 different countries. I spoke alongside industry leaders such as Lucy Brazier and Bonnie Low-Kramen, and made some incredible contacts, such as the Assistant to the CEO of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
Best life advice ever received?
Get it in writing….Whatever it is, get any agreement in writing at the outset.
Advice for a young woman stepping into the world from school, college or uni?
Expect to work hard. Do what you say you’re going to do, and don’t make promises you can’t keep.
If you could make one change to the world?
That there would be more tolerance of different beliefs, cultures, ways of living. Just live and let live, without feeling the need to resort to violence because someone believes in something different, or chooses to live life differently.
