First published in the 1970s; the author, Hunter S Thompson, has perilous, drug enhanced confrontations with Casino operators, bartenders and police officers. Hunter S Thompson was an American journalist and author, credited as the creator of Gonzo journalism – a style of reporting where reporters involve themselves in the action to such a degree, that they become the central figure in their stories.
