Forget Tinsel town – Teignmouth has hosted its own premiere with a film that is sure to be a big hit!

Local dignitaries, and celebrities, turned out to see Live Where You Love  – featuring Teignmouth, the first in a series of videos made by rapidly-expanding Devon estate agents Complete.

The mini movie features Exeter rugby players Julian Salvi and Moray Low, who are regular visitors to the seaside town. Both ‘stars’ were at the premiere as well as Teignmouth’s Mayor, Councillor June Green.

The film’s opening coincided with the official launch of Complete’s newest office in what was previously the HSBC Bank in the heart of Teignmouth High Street.

Complete’s Teignmouth branch manager, Steve Green, said:

“Our former office in Bank Street lacked facilities and amenity space and there was simply no room for expansion.

“The new office has superb full-height windows enabling us to better showcase our clients’ properties and the greater interior space which has allowed us to create a wonderful environment for our customers.

“Our Live Where You Love film was a way of announcing our new venture and demonstrating our affection for Teignmouth. It is the first in a series of videos, and other initiatives, that we are working on to celebrate the communities that support our businesses.”

Many of the guests at the premiere were local traders, and canapés were served by staff from the popular Crab Shack on Teignmouth’s back beach.

The Mayor said she was thrilled to see a business not only investing in the town but also singing its praises. She said:

“It is unusual for a company to put so much time, effort and money into something which isn’t just about promoting themselves.”

“Complete should be congratulated on their vision and hard work and for celebrating the people who live where they love!”

Rugby player Julian said he enjoyed his time in front of the camera:

“The weather was superb on the day we filmed and it was just past the tourist season so everyone was in a chilled mood,” he said.

“We loved helping Steve and his team showcase Teignmouth and I hope people enjoy watching the film.”

Katie King, assistant branch manager of the Teignmouth office, said:

“The new office is fast becoming the hub of all things property in the town.”
