Grow Welcomes Our First Intern

Grow Welcomes Our First Intern

We are excited to welcome our first intern to the team here at Grow. Livi Woosey will be joining us for the next month in order to gain some practical experience in content writing and digital publishing.

Livi has just completed her studies in History and Russian at the University of Exeter and is looking to pursue a career in the media industry. As part of her university degree she spent a year living in Russia so has reached near fluency in the language and knows that vodka really is the only way to stay warm when its  -20 degrees! During this time she also wrote as a foreign correspondent for Exeposé which gave her a sound understanding of Russia’s history, culture and political climate.

Prior to coming to Grow, Livi has completed work placements with Sky News and The Times in which she gained a fascinating insight into the inner workings of a newsroom. This experience stoked her passion for the industry as well as her desire to build a career within it.

After a few days with us, she says:

“The team here at Grow have been very friendly and welcoming and I know that my time here will be invaluable. I look forward to building on my experience and learning as much as I can. It is going to be a busy month and I am excited to get stuck in!”

Livi is keen to get involved with all aspects of Grow during her time here and we are looking forward to seeing what she can bring to the team.

This internship comes at an interesting time in Grow’s journey, after recently moving back into Exeter City Centre in to our new premises. Livi will bring welcome energy, passion and perspective to our already strong team as we make ourselves at home and get ready for an exciting (and top secret) announcement later this month about our plans in the city centre.

Join us in congratulating and welcoming Livi to #TeamGrow and watch this space for our exciting news in the next few weeks.
