The team from leading South West architecture and urban design practice LHC Design have unleashed their creative genius to raise funds for their charity of the year, Young Devon.
Members of the LHC team have produced a range of original artworks which are on display in the firm’s Exeter studio and on an online auction site to raise money for the charity.
24 works have been produced, including photographs, paintings, lino prints, a woodblock print, even a beautifully hand painted pebble.
The artworks are available to view online at www.jumblebee.co.uk/lhcartauction or at LHC’s Exeter studios on Emperor Way, Exeter Business Park, between 8:30am and 5pm on weekdays.
Bidding takes place online at www.jumblebee.co.uk/lhcartauction and is open until Monday, December 16, 2019, when winning bidders will be contacted to arrange collection and payment.
Paul Osborne, director at LHC Design, said:
“The team chose Young Devon as our charity of the year in a secret ballot and we’re thrilled to be supporting an organisation that helps the most vulnerable and at-risk young people in our county, enabling them to have safer, healthier and more successful lives. The team have really risen to the challenge for our art auction, unleashing their artistic talent and offering some real quality artworks, it’s well worth taking a look. Every penny counts so please bid generously.”
Young Devon is a progressive local charity whose primary objective is to enhance lives and promote opportunity for young people who are least likely to have their voices heard.
The charity offers young people the opportunity to gain skills, qualifications and work experience, provides counselling services and mental health support, accommodation for young people who are homeless or in crisis, as well as a range of other support services, completely free of charge.
The firm has been supporting the charity throughout the year, the art auction their final fundraising event. Other activities have included the ‘Three South West Peaks’ challenge, climbing the highest peaks on Exmoor, Dartmoor and Bodmin and cycling the 90 miles between all three; a ‘Scone Off’ baking competition; a wine tasting challenge; a sunflower growing competition; Italian lessons; and much more.
A total of £4,000 has been raised for the charity so far this year and LHC hope the art auction will take them over their £5,000 target.
