Final Friday Science: The Science of Business
We are delighted to announce that this month’s Final Friday Science features two of Exeter’s most prominent business figures; both of whom have close links to the university and its scientific development. The event is at Exeter Science Park on the 27th April from 8.30 – 10.00 AM.
The Science of Business
Our first speaker will be David Solomides, a Business Growth Coach and Non-Executive Director. David is both a business propagator and maximizer. Whether working with student entrepreneurs or multinational business leaders, David uses practical science to help organizations perform. In his lecture to us, David will show how business science can help any organization improve its bottom line.
mLearning: Using video to educate, train and inform
Completing Final Friday Science will be Alex Wren. Alex is Director and Founder of Bitpod who has helped the University prepare over 1,000 public facing videos. These explain the most complicated engineering and scientific concepts to non-engineers and non-scientists. Alex’s lecture will explain how video – which is set to become the most potent business communication medium –can help any organizations pass on its message, no matter how complicated.
Venue and timings
Final Friday Science is back home at the Exeter Science Park. We will start at 08.30 and finish at 10.00 on Friday, 27th April. As always we will have structured networking to help all delegates promote their businesses, then there will be time for post event conversation should you wish to stay longer, and – of course – fabulous coffee throughout.

Finally, a heads up. We are planning a recruitment special on the last THURSDAY of May. Too many organizations struggle to find the right staff and frequently simply ‘make do’. We will explain how to identify, interview and attract the most suitable applicants to your business.
