Launch Of ‘A Little Library Music’ At Exeter Library

Exeter Contemporary Sounds starts a monthly, lunchtime concert series at Exeter Library. A musical window in your week.

A co-production with Libraries Unlimited. Supported by Exeter & District Classical Music Trust and sponsored by Princesshay.

The concerts (the last Wednesday of the month from 1.10 – 1.50pm) will be like a window in the middle of the week, where people can pause, be relaxed, be attentive and have an enjoyable and interesting experience. The concerts are aimed at a general, city-centre weekday audience, particularly people working in central Exeter on their lunch breaks, but also the retired, tourists and shoppers who might come into town for lunch and the concert and of course library users and students of all ages. The Library’s Rougemont Room is purpose-built for music, so it’s a wonderful space for listening to music, with its beautiful wooden panels and large windows overlooking Northernhay Gardens. Musicians love playing there.
