Devon’s Big Noise Chorus Performing At Exeter Cathedral
On Saturday 21st December Exeter Cathedral will host one of its biggest ever choirs. Around 400 members of Devon’s Big Noise chorus will be performing a Christmas concert to celebrate the choirs’ 10th anniversary.
The Big Noise Chorus is led by Exeter musician Colin Rea and comprises four choirs from around Devon (Torbay, Ashburton and 2X Exeter). Each of their concerts raises money for a local charity and to date they have raised over £90,000. Most of the choir members have never sung before joining the choir but Colin is great at instilling confidence and together the four choirs made up of ordinary people make an amazing sound (he’s a bit of a local Gareth Malone).
The choirs will be rehearsing in Exeter Cathedral throughout the day on Saturday ahead of the concert. The Ashburton choir will also be rehearsing in Ashburton town hall on Wednesday night. Colin is available for interviews and you are welcome to come and film/record the rehearsals and speak to some of the choir members.
Colin’s email address is: firstname.lastname@example.org
