At this workshop we will be looking at the topic of ‘good investment’ and how we can achieve a more ‘sustainable financial’ system. Discussions will include:
Guest Speaker: James Clark
James is a Senior Fund Analyst at Hawksmoor Investment Management in Exeter. He has 11 years of industry experience and holds the CISI (Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment) Masters in Wealth Management qualification. Following four and a half years at Charles Stanley and two years at Prydis Wealth, James joined Hawksmoor in July 2015, initially working as a member of the Fund Management team before moving into the Research team in October 2016. He manages the private client Buy list including a sub-set of sustainable investments, and co-manages Hawksmoor’s Sustainable World Balanced Model Portfolio.
Attendees will be inspired and supported to think about how they can put values to work by leading change in their own business, provoking a community of change across faith and business networks and resourcing change by supporting entrepreneurs in the global south.
Workshops are free to attend but attendees are encouraged to make a donation towards Christian Aid’s work.
Christian Aid is working to eradicate poverty across the world, and is coming up with some innovative ways to do just that. We are inviting business leaders to work with us, and with each other, to tackle global poverty. The new Salt Business Network is open to anyone who owns a business, or is in a senior management position within a commercial organisation. It is for leaders who want to join a movement of like-minded people, who will learn about putting in place more responsible business practices, and about sustainable development, through the lens of faith. To find out more please see our website or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Attendees are invited to join us for a meal (at member’s expense) following the event.
