CaveMouth return to Exeter to bring you their lively swamp funk blues including lots of new material, plus DJ Kitti Swag will be playing the freshest fattest funkiest basiest tunes – so expect to dance until midnight at Bierkeller Exeter.
Based on the “wilds of Exmoor”, CaveMouth are a four-piece unit comprised of Alex ‘Sketchy Lex’ on vocals and guitar, Rich ‘Wreckless Richie’ on drums, Flamin’ Mo on bass and vocals and Mr Duncan ‘The Hook’ Hook on saxophone.
CaveMouth will be performing their latest single, The Poor Pay, at Bierkeller Exeter along with “lots of new material we’ve been working on over the dark winter months”.
With their unique style of music, designed to “keep the neighbours away and the ‘foxes’ in”, CaveMouth’s tunes are jammed with funky beats and clashing instruments and The Poor Pay is definitely no exception.
The single, which was recorded in a studio in a quarry near Bristol last year, contains audio clips from a speech given by Noam Chomsky which, as Alex explains, is “highly pertinent in America, but increasingly in the UK”.
Expect a night of toe-tapping, feet-itching movement as CaveMouth turn up the funk, bringing the sounds of summer and lively swamp funk blues to Bierkeller Exeter.
Tickets for the event are available on the door at a cost of £3.
