One World’s Most Powerful Sports Bikes On Display At Devon Dealership – And You Can Win It!
West Country motorcycle fans are being offered the rare opportunity to climb aboard one of the world’s most powerful sports bike and even have the chance to own it!
Just 1,500 Ducati Panigale V4 Speciale’s are to be produced by the renowned Italian manufacturer, with only a limited number set to arrive in the UK from the factory in Bologna.
Now one of the first has arrived at GT Motorcycles in Plymouth, and is the prize in a competition raising money for charities Bloodbikes and Make-a-Wish UK.
Mike Grainger, who runs GT Motorcycles, is used to fast bikes.
Dubbed ‘Europe’s fastest granddad’ when he clocked 249 miles per hour over a quarter of a mile to set the European speed record on a road legal bike in 2016, Mike is an expert in performance motorbikes.
However, Mike won’t be repeating the feat on the Ducati Panigale V4.
“It’s an amazing bike but it’s a prize in a very worthwhile competition and the first ride will be for the winner. We’re all road bike fanatics here so we’re thrilled to have one of the world’s most powerful road bikes at GT Motorcycles. I’m sure there will be a lot of interest from my customers and people wanting to have a look and sit on the bike. It’s raising money for two great causes so I was more than happy to help out.”
Mike was happy to put the £35,000 bike on display at his GT Motorcycles dealership in Elburton Road, Plymouth, on behalf of the anonymous Devon millionaire who is offering it as the main prize in the ‘Ducati for a Fiver’ competition.
Visitors will be able to pose on the bike and take photos.
Every ticket sold is helping to raise money for Blood Bikes, whose volunteers provide free medical courier assistance for urgent supplies, and the Make-a-Wish UK charity.
The competition is happening online. Tickets are £5 English pounds plus a 50p booking fee and you must be aged 18 or over to take part. The bike will be on display at GT Motorcycles until the end of the year. It will be delivered to whoever wins, anywhere in the world, at no cost to the winner.
The main prize also includes leathers and an X-lite helmet worth £1,000. Nine runners-up will each receive a reduced weight and compact size X-lite X-803 Ultra Carbon helmet.
The closing date is 31 January 2019.
The bike is on display at GT Motorcycles, on Elburton Road, 9am-5.30pm Monday to Saturday, and 10-4pm Sunday.
