Award-winning Cartoonist partners with Exeter Dementia Action Alliance
The Exeter Dementia Action Alliance (EDAA) have created an innovative way of raising dementia awareness in the city and beyond for 2019. Through a cartoon-style calendar, illustrated with sensitivity and gentle humour by award-winning Cartoonist Tony Husband, their ‘Shining A Light on Dementia’ calendar is supporting their mission of working towards a Dementia Friendly Exeter.
Gina Awad who leads the alliance has been working with Tony to capture the themes to suit the supporting sponsor organisations.
Tony is a creative genius and to be working with him on this over the past 3 months has been a joy. Bringing the themes together has taken a lot of creativity and seeing the result is wonderful. The feedback we’ve been receiving has been incredible, we didn’t expect for a moment we would gain such wide interest however it provides a brilliant educational resource so shouldn’t be underestimated. We are all so delighted and thank our supporting sponsors and members for their collaboration
You can purchase your calendar for £6 at the RAMM or pop along to the InExeter Christmas Light Switch On event this coming Sunday where EDAA will have a stall and be selling them there.
