Yeti Delivery Initiative to Support Devon’s Local Businesses

South West food delivery company, Yeti Delivery, are helping local restaurants and takeaway shops stay in business through the coronavirus pandemic by offering a discounted rate to all new and existing partners who exclusively use Yeti Delivery’s delivery drivers to deliver their food.

Yeti Delivery will also be providing a non-for-profit service to any new and existing partners who would like to exclusively use Yeti’s platform as an ordering tool but where the restaurants source their own delivery drivers, for example if restaurants want to use their own staff to deliver meals to customers.  Partners who choose this delivery option will still get the same coverage on Yeti’s social media channels and will only be charged a standard card transaction fee and £1 per order which will go towards the ‘Help Hub’, a new initiative partnered by Yeti Delivery & local Torbay councillors to help deliver essential food & items to the elderly and vulnerable who are in isolation due to the coronavirus.

Yeti Delivery founder explains;

‘We feel we have a duty to help our community through these stressful times as they have supported us so much over the years. Since the coronavirus pandemic was announced we have seen a rise in food delivery orders but have also seen the impact the virus has had on local businesses who may have to shut down due to limited customers.  We want to help these restaurants stay in business for as long as possible through our platform and resources.  Food delivery is a great way to keep business going through quiet times.’

Since opening in Torbay in 2017, Yeti Delivery have grown considerably in size. The now have delivery operations in Paignton, Torquay, Totnes, Newton Abbot, Exeter and Exmouth.

Yeti Delivery founder says

‘Our aim is to provide a bespoke local service to our restaurant partners to help them reach more customers and we plan to continue this throughout the coronavirus pandemic. We aim to extend our services to other local towns across Devon who are also suffering.’
