Chalk + Ward Creative Director Celebrates 20 Years
The creative director of Exeter based marketing and communications agency, Chalk + Ward, is celebrating his 20th work anniversary shortly after becoming a new board member.
Alister Tickle, 43, was one of the first employees at Chalk + Ward when he began as a junior artwork designer in 1999. Since then he has worked his way up to creative director, leading the company’s design team before being made a board member earlier this year.
Chalk + Ward creative director Alister, who has worked with leading national and international brands, including P&O Cruises, WKD, Wiltshire Farm Foods and Hunter Stoves, said:
“I have spent most of my working life at Chalk + Ward and becoming part of the Board has been a long-term ambition of mine. It means a great deal to me both professionally and personally.”
“When I first started at Chalk + Ward it was very much a traditional advertising agency, but the rapid growth of digital advertising, marketing and media has added so many other dimensions to the job. I like the breadth of work we do here – it keeps things fresh and interesting, both from a personal and a creative perspective.”
Alister joins the Board alongside managing director Robert Chalk, director Lisa Prescott and fellow new Board member and director Gemma Boss.
Gemma joined the company seven years ago following on from a successful career in leading London agencies as a strategic branding specialist, as well as running her own brand consultancy business.
“Both Gemma and Alister have proved invaluable members of the Chalk + Ward team and our clients will continue to benefit from their advice and guidance as we grow our business. The Board’s focus will be on the strategic growth of the business and in driving it forward, while maintaining our high service levels for existing clients.”
“Between them, Alister and Gemma bring a wealth of experience to the Board and we are excited at what the future holds for Chalk + Ward with a strong team of professionals at the helm.”
